Cookies Policy

Cookie Policy

Cookies are small text files that are placed onto your computer by websites and/or applications that you visit. Cookies can be used to track which sites users visit and the activities users engage in on those sites. From this information, third parties, such as advertisers, can build user profiles that can then be used to place specific advertisements on the websites those users visit.

DUC’s websites and online services use cookies. Some cookies are essential to your web browsing experience. Other cookies collect information about how you use our websites and allow our websites to remember choices you make while browsing, giving you a personalized experience.

Types of cookies we collect

Category 1: necessary cookies

Necessary cookies enable you to access the full functionality of our web sites. Without these cookies, services like shopping baskets and e-billing cannot be provided.

Category 2: performance cookies

Performance cookies collect information about how you use our web sites so we can improve them for you in future. For example, they collect information on which pages you visit most often and any error messages you may get. The information collected by these cookies is anonymous. They do not collect any information that can identify you personally.

Category 3: functionality cookies

Functionality cookies collect information about how you use our web sites and allow our web sites to remember choices you make while browsing, giving you a personalized experience. The information these cookies collect is anonymous. They cannot track your browsing activity on other websites.

Category 4: advertising cookies

Advertising cookies are used to deliver targeted ads that we believe are relevant to you and your interests. For example, we may use targeting or advertising cookies to customize the advertising and content you receive on our web sites, to limit the number of times you see the same ad on our websites, and to help measure the effectiveness of our advertising campaigns.

Category 5: social media cookies

DUC web sites use third-party cookies from social media sites such as Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and LinkedIn. These cookies enable in-depth campaign reporting, track social network users when they visit our web sites, and they can also be used for event tracking and marketing purposes. Any data collected with these tags will be used in accordance with DUC’s Privacy Policy and the social network's privacy policies. DUC web sites neither collect nor store any personally identifiable information from the user.

Disabling Cookies

You may disable each cookie category in your web browser (except strictly necessary cookies) by clicking the “cookie settings” button. However, because cookies are used throughout DUC websites, disabling them may prevent you from using certain parts of the sites.
